Efteling designs cycling jersey for Team Jumbo-Visma
This summer, Team Jumbo-Visma will wear a unique cycling jersey during the Tour de France: ‘The Vélodrome: Ride your Dreams’. This special jersey was designed by Efteling designer Sander de Bruijn!
A unique cycling jersey
Dutch cycling team Team Jumbo-Visma was founded 10 years ago with big ambitions and dreams of success. After years of hard work and continued belief, the biggest dream of all became a reality in 2022. Team Jumbo-Visma won the Tour de France, the biggest cycling competition in the world.
Team Jumbo-Visma's jersey is predominantly yellow, similarly to the Tour de France leader's jersey. The team will therefore wear a unique cycling jersey during this prestigious cycling event. The 2023 special edition called The Vélodrome is inspired by the dreams we have as children and designed by Efteling.
Believing in your dreams
Sander de Bruijn, designer at Efteling and head of the Design and Experience Department: “It is a dream come true and an honour to design the cycling jersey for Team Jumbo-Visma for the upcoming Tour de France. The underlying theme: ‘Believing in your Dreams’ is one of the very best stories and messages we can convey to all children, spectators and viewers of the upcoming Tour de France through this design ‘The Velodrome: Ride your Dreams’.”
Before Efteling opened its gates in 1952, it was a Sports and Walking Park that included a football pitch, a swimming pool and a cycling track. It is exciting to enter into a collaboration linked to sports activities that once took place at Efteling.
A shirt that reflects all dreams

Vélodrome at Efteling
In celebration of the unique cycling jersey, Efteling will feature a very rare Vélodrome until the end of August. This bicycle carousel was part of Efteling in the past. This year, Efteling's Anton Pieckplein will be under the spotlight and it is incredibly special that the authentic Vélodrome can contribute to this.
