Digital Accessibility Statement
Read how Efteling is working on digital accessibility. This statement explains which parts of efteling.com are accessible and what improvements are still coming.
1. What part of the website does this statement cover?
This statement covers the part of our website with info about staying overnight. That part was recently updated and built in a new CMS and front-end. We paid extra attention to digital accessibility there, based on WCAG 2.1, level AA guidelines.
The rest of the website still needs to be updated. Right now, the following parts aren't included in this statement:
- Pages on efteling.com that haven’t been moved to the new front-end yet
- PDF documents
- Subdomains like:
scholen.efteling.com
groepen.efteling.com - External systems we don’t manage ourselves
2. Accessibility research
We haven’t done an independent review of the updated section yet. But we are in touch with Stichting Accessibility, who will soon run an accessibility scan of the "Overnight Stay" part. We’ll include the results in the next version of this statement.
3. How accessible is this part?
The updated section is expected to meet the WCAG 2.1 level AA accessibility guidelines, as required by European law. We developed it following our own design and development standards. The exact level of accessibility will be confirmed after the planned scan.
4. What are we doing to keep improving?
We’re updating the whole site bit by bit. Accessibility is always part of our design and development process. For example, we:
- Work with Stichting Accessibility for testing and advice
- Run accessibility scans and audits
- Ensure color contrasts and keyboard navigation are in place
- Follow WCAG 2.1 AA as a standard in design and development
5. When was this statement last updated?
This statement was last changed on June 30, 2025, and will be updated when things change.
6. Problems or questions? Let us know!
