Important information for Efteling Annual Pass holders about parking

From 15 June 2026, we will be adjusting our parking product for Efteling Annual Pass holders. At the same time, we are making significant investments in new ways and facilities to encourage sustainable travel. You can watch the key changes in the video below. All the details and what this means for your situation can be found on this page.

We're really happy with our annual pass holders and their involvement with Efteling. The number of annual pass holders has grown significantly over the past few years and we're proud of that.

Due to the current nature permit, which sets a maximum number of visitors, we have to make careful choices about how we use that space. Earlier, we already took measures with as little impact as possible on our regular visitors, such as stopping school trip reservations and reducing company events. With this adjustment, we're managing the number of visits by encouraging annual pass holders to think more carefully about how often they visit Efteling.

What is changing:

As of now, it is no longer possible to purchase a new parking annual pass.
From 15 June 2026, Efteling Annual Pass holders can park at a discount per visit, depending on the type of annual pass they have.
The discount amounts to 40% for Classic Annual Pass holders, 50% for Plus Annual Pass holders and 60% for Premium Annual Pass holders, compared to the regular parking ticket price of €15.
A discounted parking ticket can easily be purchased via your Efteling account.
For most annual pass holders, not much will change. The average annual pass holder visits Efteling about 8 times a year. For the most popular annual pass, the Annual Pass Plus, the parking costs for that number of visits in the new system are almost the same as with the current parking season ticket.
If you regularly travel sustainably, you'll even pay less. Only people who frequently travel by car will pay more.

Active annual parking tickets

If you still have an existing annual parking ticket on 15 June 2026 that is valid for a maximum of 12 months, you can continue to use it until the end of the validity period.

Existing annual parking tickets will therefore remain valid until the end of their validity period.
If you link your Efteling annual pass to your Efteling account, you can immediately see until which date the pass is valid.

After the minimum period of 12 months, the annual parking ticket will automatically end if you have a monthly subscription. After that, you switch to paying per visit with a discount. This happens automatically and as a pass holder you don't have to do anything.

Transition period: temporary parking annual pass

To ensure a smooth transition, there will be a short interim phase:

From 13 April 2026 until 14 June 2026, Efteling Annual Pass holders can still purchase a temporary parking annual pass with a duration of two months.
This temporary parking annual pass is personal and always runs for two months from the date of purchase.
The cost is €20.

In this way, we provide clarity, prevent confusion about validity, and make the switch to the new system as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Sustainable alternatives

We want to make sustainable alternatives like bikes and public transport more attractive, so guests will choose an alternative to the car more often and we reduce the impact on our living environment. This development also helps us to better explain in the future how guests visit Efteling, for example when applying for a new nature permit. That's why we're making significant investments in the initiatives below.

1. Temporary bicycle storage
We're creating a safe, temporary bicycle storage area with CCTV, sturdy fencing, a staff member present, and strong bike racks so you can securely park your bike. In the long term, we'll be working towards a new, permanent bicycle storage with charging points, lockers, and a roof.

2. Public transport
For only €7.50, you can travel with up to six Annual Pass holders within Noord-Brabant by bus to Efteling and back again. Are you travelling alone as a Pass holder? Then you pay €4.50. Children up to and including 11 years old always travel for free by bus within Brabant. An affordable and sustainable way to plan your visit!

We're also working closely with Arriva to improve the bus lines to and from Efteling so that buses stop even more often at Efteling.

3. Rewarding sustainable travel
We love to reward guests who travel sustainably. That's why from 15 June 2026 you can collect points for a unique Efteling item if you travel sustainably (by bike or public transport) to Efteling seven times. You can always check your progress in the Efteling app.

What does this mean for me?

From 15 June 2026, you can just park during every visit. But instead of a fixed parking season ticket, you pay per visit with a discount, depending on the type of annual pass that you have.

If on 15 June 2026 you still have an existing parking season ticket with a maximum remaining term of 12 months, you can continue to use it until the end of its term.

The impact is different for everyone. Exactly how much you pay depends on how often you come, how you travel, and which season ticket you have. In the calculation example below, we'll show you with a few examples what this means in practice.

Existing annual pass for the car park
