What is the Efteling gift card?
The Efteling Gift Card is the most enchanting way to surprise someone special. You can choose between a digital card sent by email or a physical gift card. If you order the physical card via efteling.com, it will be delivered to your home by post. Please note that delivery by post can sometimes take a bit longer.
The card can be loaded with any amount between €5 and €150. The balance remains valid for 3 years after activation, so there’s no need to worry if there’s still credit left after using it. Please note: gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable.
Where can I use the Efteling Gift Card?
You can use the Efteling Gift Card both online and in the World of Efteling. Online, the card can be used to purchase tickets (with the exception of group and school trip tickets), an annual subscription (with yearly payment), to book an overnight stay, or to pay (part of) an open balance in your Efteling account.
In the World of Efteling, you can use the gift card anywhere that accepts card payments. The gift card is not valid at the self-service kiosks at Fabula, the snack walls, online orders in the Efteling app, or for pizza delivery and self-service kiosks at Efteling Bosrijk and Efteling Loonsche Land.

The physical Efteling Gift Card is available at the following locations within the World of Efteling: the Guest Service at the entrance, the souvenir shops in the theme park, the Efteling Theater, the Efteling Grand Hotel, the Efteling Wonder Hotel, Efteling Bosrijk and Efteling Loonsche Land.
Outside the World of Efteling
You can also buy the physical Efteling Gift Card at various retail locations such as Albert Heijn and Primera.
What is the difference between the gift box and the free gift envelope?
The gift envelope is free. For €1.95, you can choose a more luxurious gift box, with space underneath the Efteling gift card for a little surprise.
What is the difference between the four themes?
Each theme has a different look and feel. The design you choose will also appear on the digital Efteling gift card.
How do I place an order on Efteling.com?
Ordering a digital and/or physical Efteling Gift Card is as easy as waving a magic wand! Choose the number of cards and the desired amount, add them to your shopping cart, fill in your details and pay securely with iDEAL | Wero or Bancontact.
The digital gift card will be sent within minutes to the email address provided. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder just in case.
If you order a physical gift card on a working day before 3:00 p.m., it will be sent to PostNL on the same day. To prevent misuse during shipping, physical gift cards are blocked for the first 48 hours after shipping. After that, they are activated automatically. Delivery usually takes place within three working days. Please bear in mind that delivery may sometimes take a little longer, depending on PostNL’s delivery days.
When will I receive my order?
The digital gift card is sent within minutes to the specified email address. Don’t forget to check your spam or junk folder. Physical gift cards ordered before 3 p.m. on working days are handed over to PostNL the same day. To prevent misuse during shipping, physical gift cards are blocked for the first 48 hours after shipping. After that, they are activated automatically. Delivery usually takes place within three working days. Please bear in mind that delivery may sometimes take a little longer, depending on PostNL’s delivery days.
Can I send the gift card directly to someone else?
Yes, you can! Simply enter the recipient’s email or postal address as the delivery address. Please note that you will still receive the order confirmation and, in the case of a physical gift card, the activation code by email.
Can I send my order to multiple people?
You can send gift cards with different values to different recipients. However, the personal message will be the same for the entire order. If you’d like to include a unique message for each person, please place separate orders.
I made a typo in the email address. Can I fix this?

Can I use the Efteling gift card to make a payment online?
Yes, you can use an Efteling gift card online to buy tickets (with the exception of group and school trip tickets) and Efteling annual passes, to book a stay, or to pay the remaining balance in your Efteling account.
What are the shipping costs for physical gift cards?
Shipping costs are €1.95 (including VAT) per order, regardless of the number of cards ordered. These costs are automatically added at checkout.
How do I know how much money is on my gift card?
You can check your gift card balance with the balance checker.
What amount can be charged on the gift card?
The Efteling gift card can be loaded with min. €5 and max. €150. If you want to charge a higher amount, you must use multiple gift cards.
How long is my gift card valid?
Gift cards are valid for three years after activation. You can check the expiry date and remaining balance using the balance checker.
How to use the Efteling gift card?
The use of the gift card is simple, just hand it over when you pay at the checkout and the amount of the purchase is debited from your card. If the remaining balance is not enough for the purchase, you can pay the rest of the amount with another payment method. An overnight stay at the Efteling Grand Hotel, Efteling Wonder Hotel, Efteling Bosrijk or Efteling Loonsche Land can also be (partially) paid for with the gift card and can be done online when making your booking or afterwards when paying the remaining amount in My Efteling.
Can I use the Efteling Gift Card to purchase Efteling tickets?
Yes, you can buy Efteling tickets (with the exception of group and school trip tickets) with an Efteling gift card, both online and at the Visitor Service Centre. If the balance of the gift card is insufficient for the purchase, you will have to pay the remaining amount in some other way.
Can I use the gift card for multiple purchases?
Yes, if there is a remaining balance on the gift card and the validity of the gift card has not expired, it can be used for multiple purchases. You can check the expiry date and the remaining balance of your Efteling gift card via the balance checker.
Can the gift card be used by everyone?
No name is recorded on the gift card; it can therefore be used by everyone.
Can a purchase be made with multiple Efteling gift cards?
Yes, if there is a remaining balance on the gift card and if the validity of the gift card has not expired, a purchase can be paid with several Efteling gift cards. You can check the expiration date and remaining balance of your Efteling gift card via the balance checker.
Can I redeem the Efteling gift card for cash?
No, gift cards can only be used at Efteling for the available products and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The remaining balance on my gift card is lower than the value of my purchase. Can I use any other method of payment in addition to the gift card?
Yes, if the remaining balance on your gift card is not enough to pay for your purchase, you will be asked to pay for the remaining amount with another payment method.
What is my gift card's security code?
The security code is behind the scratch-off panel on the back of the gift card.
