Winter Efteling celebrates 25th anniversary

Winter Efteling celebrates 25th anniversary, opening on 13 November

New life-size snow globes and larger skating join Winter Efteling’s Silver Jubilee

25 September 2023 - At Efteling, winter guarantees crackling bonfires, atmospheric garlands and thousands of lights. This year, Winter Efteling starts on 13 November 2023 and will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The Warme Winter Weide, a nostalgic winter garden with festive food and entertainment, returns with a larger open-air skating rink. Winter Efteling will be open until 4th February 2024.

As always, the entirety of Efteling will be transformed into a true winter paradise, with various attractions and Efteling residents getting prepared for winter in their own special way. New this year are special luminous butterflies that Sander de Bruijn, head designer of the Efteling, designed for light festival GLOW last year in cooperation with ASML. Parts of the light project 'Connecting your love' can be admired during this year’s Winter Efteling, and there will also be life-size new snow globes on the Ton van de Ven Plein and in Ruigrijk.

The Warme Winter Weide will feature extra entertainment and heartwarming musical offerings every day. Visitors can enjoy the music of Zang & Gelukkig, whilst Fay the Fee and Pinocchio try to make it snow and Pardoes the Magic Jester and Princess Pardijn welcome children in the sleigh. From 18 November, Mister and Madam Time, from the theatre show CARO, will provide a wonderful wintertime with winter songs in the Carousel Palace on weekends and holidays.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve will also be celebrated in fairytale style at Winter Efteling this year. Between 7 pm and 1am, there will be a festive evening opening with live entertainment. More information about the program and ticket sales can be found at efteling.com from the end of September.
