Efteling Grand Hotel goes up in height

The Efteling Grand Hotel is going up in height and with it, the first contours of the building are becoming visible. This morning, using a large crawler crane, the first prefabricated facade elements of the largest hotel within the World of Efteling were placed. More than 350 elements, which range in weight from 3,000 to 30,000 kilos, will be assembled at the construction site in the coming months. From ground floor to roof, 5,400 m² of prefabricated facade elements will be installed.

Nicole Scheffers, Director of Park & Resorts says: “ I am pleased that we can now move forward with construction. We have worked very hard behind the scenes and I am proud that our guests can finally see how special the Efteling Grand Hotel is going to be."

In the coming months, the Efteling Grand Hotel will be put together from the ground floor  to the roof like a puzzle. The prefabricated facade elements will arrive at the construction site including stucco, facade frames, windows, and doors. After placing the facade elements on the ground floor and the floors of the first floor, the structural work on the inside can be started immediately.
