New: Summer Festival and Aquanura

Efteling’s anniversary year Seven League Summer

Efteling is open every day of the year. And from 9 July until 26 August it’s time for Efteling’s Seven League Summer! During this period the park stays open nice and late, until 20.00 hours. Something new this year is the Summer Festival, on the seven Saturdays during the Seven League Summer. On these days the park stays open until midnight and seven squares provide special entertainment all evening in seven different fairytale moods. From international circus acts to French chansons, and from Latin American salsa to a cool Dutch-language DJ. With so many artists and acts, the Summer Festival creates a sizzling theatre-festival atmosphere with something for everyone. On these evenings the Fairytale Forest and all attractions are wonderfully lit to enhance the fairytale atmosphere. There’s plenty of time to visit all your favourite attractions, including Joris en de Draak (George and the Dragon) and Raveleijn, or to enjoy a pancake at the new themed restaurant, Polle’s Kitchen. But perhaps the evening reaches its most beautiful point when Aquanura, in all its colourful magnificence, shoots its powerful fountains up towards the heavens, accompanied by music and special effects. The third largest water show in the world makes the Seven League Summer complete.

Seven League Summer
Efteling’s Seven League Summer lasts from 9 July until 26 August, when the park is open daily until 20.00 hours. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the Fairytale Forest, Dreamflight and Fata Morgana, but also the wooden racer rollercoaster, Joris en de Draak (George and the Dragon), the swinging ship or the Python with its new trains. There are six separate performances of the spectacular park show Raveleijn, in which five riders head into battle against the magical city’s cruel tyrant. The Efteling Museum is staging a special exhibition covering 60 years of Efteling. Grumbling stomachs will be silenced after a visit to the terrace of pancake restaurant Polle’s Kitchen. And in order to enjoy Aquanura’s spectacular water show in the dark, a limited section of the theme park will remain open until 22.00 hours each day.

Aquanura
A wonderful day out is brought to a fitting close with a visit to the anniversary show Aquanura, on the lake next to Fata Morgana. Aquanura is the world’s third largest water show and is based on the elements of water, fire, (Efteling) music and light. The fountains’ powerful hydraulic systems spurt out water in the most amazing shapes and to great heights. Aquanura is an unforgettable spectacle and a new Efteling memory. Several performances, each lasting around 10 minutes, are staged every evening, but with all its colourful magnificence, Aquanura is even more beautiful after dark. For this reason, a limited section of the theme park remains open until 22.00 hours. It is even possible to purchase special evening tickets, enabling people to visit the park later in the day.

Summer Festival
On Saturday 14, 21 and 28 July and 4, 11, 18 and 25 August the park remains open until midnight. Seven squares will feature stages in seven different fairytale moods, giving the park a sizzling theatre-festival atmosphere. Cheerful lantern trails lead the way to the seven squares, where visitors can look around, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy live entertainment over a drink and a snack. Brink Square, White Horse Square, Carnaval Festival Square, Adventure Realm Square, Piraña Square, Fata Morgana Square and Capricorn Square all feature performances by various artists, acrobats, musicians and other acts.

Efteling’s Seven League Summer lasts from 9 July until 26 August. The park is open daily until 20.00 hours, with extra opening time until 22.00 hours in a limited section of the park around Aquanura.
