Pinocchio new inhabitant of Efteling Fairytale Forest

In spring 2016, the Dutch theme park Efteling, located in the south of Holland, will be opening a new fairytale in its Fairytale Forest: Pinocchio. The mischievous wooden puppet who wants to become a real boy, is Efteling’s 29th fairytale. But Efteling has more to offer to celebrate spring and enjoy the summer. On 18 June, the Efteling Midsummer Festival will take place in the park. A magical festival with live performances, DJs and entertainment to get you in the summer mood. Summer gets off to a good start this year, because in July and August Efteling will celebrate summer with daily extended opening hours and nine special summer evenings.

Pinocchio
The new fairytale in the Fairytale Forest comprises a number of sections, with interactive elements and subtle references to the Italian origins of the story. The visit starts with a glimpse into Geppetto's workshop, after which visitors set off in search of Pinocchio and Geppetto. The Pinocchio fairytale is located between Little Red Riding Hood and The Red Shoes and will open 24 March.

Efteling Midsummer Festival
In the run up to the longest day of the year, there will be an enchanting event at the park on Saturday 18 June: Efteling Midsummer Festival. On the long evenings visitors enjoy live shows, DJs and entertainment at a unique location in the centre of the park. There are cosy terraces to relax, with delicious snacks and drinks. Of course, all the attractions are open. Special tickets will be available for Efteling Midsummer Festival.

Summer in Efteling
During the months of July and August it is summer in Efteling with daily opening hours till 8 pm. So lots of time to visit all your favourite attractions like the dive coaster Baron 1898, Fata Morgana dark ride and the park show Raveleijn. The park is open until midnight on the nine Saturdays in July and August. All the attractions are open when it is dark and the Fairytale Forest is enchantingly lit. Visitors to the park are surprised with spectacular live performances by musicians, acrobats and performers.
