New holiday village Efteling Loonsche Land is set to open on 65th anniversary

On the edge of the nature district Loonsche Land, Efteling is creating a new holiday village which will have extraordinary accommodation above, on and below the ground. The construction of the holiday village, which covers nearly eight hectares, is progressing smoothly. It will open its doors on the 65th anniversary of the themepark in the south of Holland, on 31st May 2017.

From the end of May, guests will be able to stay in one of the 1,000 beds of Holiday village Efteling Loonsche Land. In the morning they will walk from their holiday home, hotel or themed room straight into the Efteling Park. Fons Jurgens, President of Efteling's Board of Directors, explains the decision to build a new holiday village:

“By constructing Holiday Village Efteling Loonsche Land we invest in the expansion of Efteling's accommodation offering. Together with the attraction Symbolica, the new holiday village is part of Efteling's 65th jubilee. We are happy that we will be able to welcome the firsts guests on our official birthday."
Fons Jurgens, Efteling's Chairman and CEO

All 65 holiday homes, 20 themed and 75 hotel rooms within holiday village Efteling Loonsche Land will be furnished with natural materials, in keeping with the natural environment. From the start of Spring, the landscaping and construction of the natural play-elements will continue.
