Efteling opens bookings for new Holiday Village Efteling Loonsche Land
27th June 2016: From today, Efteling Theme Park Resort in the South of Holland will be taking bookings for its newest accommodation, Holiday Village Efteling Loonsche Land, which will open in July 2017. The newest accommodation, which is situated on the edge of the nature district, Loonsche Land, will cover more than 19 acres of land, and will cost €30 million to complete. Guests can choose from holiday houses or the hotel, with regular or themed rooms - the village will accommodate up to 1.000 visitors in total. The current accommodation consists of Efteling Hotel, with themed and regular suites and Holiday Village Efteling Bosrijk, with apartments, Village Houses, Woodland Houses and Lakeside Houses.
Themed rooms
Visitors can choose from three types of themed rooms. There are a total of 20 themed rooms, including Tree View rooms built high up in the trees, connected to each other by wooden bridges and offering the comfort of hotel accommodation. Guests can also stay in Dune View themed rooms, located in sand dunes with their own terrace, or Water View themed rooms, built on stilts above the water. Themed rooms sleep 4 to 6 guests.
Other accommodation
The centrally located Loonsche Land Hotel has 75 rooms, accommodating 5 and 6 people. For larger families and groups there are 65 detached holiday houses sleeping 6 to 12 people.
Restaurant De Proeftuyn
Guests who choose to eat in the holiday village can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Restaurant De Proeftuyn, which is located in the Loonsche Land Hotel. Meals are prepared in an open kitchen with locally sourced seasonal produce, including produce grown on site. Restaurant De Proeftuyn will seat 250 people inside and 100 guests on the terrace, and guests can make use of the large bar within the restaurant.
Facilities
Free parking is available at the entrance of the village, which is a 15 minute walk to the theme park. There are various playgrounds for children as well as a small animal enclosure.
