Efteling introduces ‘Efteling Midsummer Night’ on 20 June

A new event in festival atmosphere

On the evening of Saturday 20 June, Efteling introduces a new and exclusive event: Efteling Midsummer Night. In the run-up to the longest day of the year, for one night only Efteling can be experienced like never before; as a new, intimate and trendy event location. The park opens its doors from 19.30 onwards for an exclusive evening in a festival atmosphere, full of mysticism, chilled beats and poetic enchantment. Guests can visit intimate lounge terraces with snacks and cocktails, and pop-up kitchens in unexpected places. All attractions remain open for the whole evening and as darkness falls, the natural surroundings are magically illuminated. As the midnight hour approaches, the Midsummer Night celebrations begin around maypoles on several squares. Together, visitors, elves and trolls can ring in the beginning of summer. The evening reaches its unique conclusion at 00.30. Special tickets are being made available for the Efteling Midsummer Night. Further information can be found at efteling.co.uk/EN/thepark.html

New event for a new target group
Efteling’s Chairman and CEO, Fons Jurgens, explains why Efteling is launching the Efteling Midsummer Night event.

“This festival-style evening suits Efteling perfectly. It is a place where stories, legends and now also international traditions are brought to life. By 2020 we aim to attract five million visitors per year. This means that we have to appeal to new target audiences and tempt people to visit Efteling more often. With this event, we aim to show visitors in their twenties and their circle of friends a new, hip and trendy side to Efteling. It promises to be a very special experience and something completely different from what our visitors are used to.”
