Efteling canal boat sails on Amsterdam canals

For two years from February 19, an Efteling tour boat will roam the Amsterdam canal network.

With this new branding initiative, Efteling aims to tempt tourists who visit the Dutch capital to also make a day trip to the amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, south of Holland.

Efteling’s Chief Executive Officer Fons Jurgens explains that the collaboration between the two biggest attractions in the Netherlands is apparent: 'Efteling is an international destination, but guests can also just drop by for a day from Amsterdam. Many tourists who want to discover the Netherlands make a round trip through the canals with Lovers Canal Cruises and the boats themselves are also an attraction. It is very nice to shape our cooperation in this special way.'

Last Tuesday, Fons Jurgens made the first trip in the Efteling boat together with Little Red Riding Hood. The boat will cruise past the Magere Brug, the Anne Frank House and other Amsterdam tourist attractions daily until 2020.
