Efteling Attempts World Record
World’s Largest Bow to Decorate the new Efteling Grand Hotel
July 15, Kaatsheuvel – After an intensive construction period, Efteling’s newest accommodation, Efteling Grand Hotel, is nearly complete. To celebrate the grand opening of this luxury hotel on 1 August, Efteling will be covering the façade of 106-meter-wide building with a gigantic bow. With this, the theme park is attempting to break a world record.
World Record Attempt
To mark the opening of Efteling Grand Hotel, Efteling will attach a gigantic decorative bow to the hotel’s façade. The bow is made from gift-wrap-style ribbon, and the exact measurements — including the total ribbon length as well as the height and width of the bow — will be announced at a later time. The record bow is 3.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. Efteling is therefore going to attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for “Largest ribbon bow” for which the record attempt has been officially submitted. Guinness World Records is a globally recognised organisation that records remarkable, extraordinary, and exceptional achievements in both human feats and nature. A release will follow following the hotel opening including imagery and confirmation of the World Record.
