Dutch Theme Park Efteling Breaks World Record to Celebrate New Hotel Opening
World's Largest Ribbon attached to Efteling Grand Hotel following its opening on 1st August 2025
Kaatsheuvel, 1st August – To mark the festive opening of Efteling Grand Hotel, Efteling’s first hotel inside the park walls, the Dutch theme park has placed the world’s largest ribbon bow on the façade of its new luxury hotel. The bow measures 16.74 meters wide and 17.15 meters high. During this morning’s opening ceremony, it was officially announced that Efteling has achieved the Guinness World Records title for Largest Ribbon Bow. An official adjudicator from Guinness World Records was present to present the certificate to CEO Fons Jurgens.
To celebrate the opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel, Efteling has attached a gigantic decorative bow to the hotel’s façade. “We’ve looked forward to opening Efteling Grand Hotel for a long time,” says Fons Jurgens, CEO of Efteling. “With this, we’re adding the largest hotel ever to our accommodation offering, combining a remarkable level of refinement and luxury. And for the first time, guests can now stay within the park boundaries of Efteling. That deserves a grand celebration—and the Guinness World Record reinforces that perfectly.”
