Springtime at Efteling: live entertainment among spring flowers

Even though Efteling is open 365 days a year, April is when the theme park season really begins in Kaatsheuvel. From 1 April onwards, several performances of the exciting Raveleijn Park Show take place each day, as well as the park show Fairytale Tree, Once upon a time… The Gondoletta boats, which take you on a romantic boat trip through nature, have been freshened up and the Bob bobsleigh run will once again slide around corners at high speed. Snowdrops, wood anemones and hyacinths colour the Fairytale Forest a beautiful blue and white. More than 250,000 flower bulbs, 10,000 violets and 16,000 forget-me-nots fill the park with the joys of spring. But the year really springs to life only when the magical Efteling tulip slowly changes colour from white to pink. In the summer of 2015, Efteling will open the Baron 1898, a dive coaster for daredevils with a minimum height of 1.40 metres. In Efteling’s back garden, Efteling Village Bosrijk holiday park opens 51 new accommodations.

Live entertainment for young and old
Fairytale Tree and his friends, Little Red Riding Hood, Wolf, Witch and Cinderella, enjoy a musical adventure in the Fairytale Forest’s open-air theatre. In the magical city of Raveleijn, five children are transformed into fully grown riders on horseback and unite in battle against the city’s wicked ruler. Real horses and ravens play a leading role in this exciting park show. During weekends and holidays, visitors can meet Pardoes, Pardijn, Jokie, Jet and other characters in the park

Baron 1898
In the summer of 2015, Efteling will open the spectacular dive coaster Baron 1898. This thrill ride for daredevils with a minimum height of 1.40 metres has a strong theme and storyline, which plays out both inside and outside the attraction. Baron 1898 will transport visitors back to the age of the Dutch mining industry, in the late 19th century. Visitors assume the role of real mineworkers and experience a 37.5-metre freefall before entering the mineshaft at around 90 kilometres per hour.

Expansion Efteling Village Bosrijk holiday park
As part of a phased plan to become an international destination with 5 million visitors per year by 2020, Efteling is investing in the expansion of Efteling Village Bosrijk to include 51 new accommodations.

In the summer of 2015, Efteling Village Bosrijk will comprise 104 detached Woodland Cottages, 64 terraced Village Cottages, 78 comfortable apartments shared between the Manor House and Gatehouse, and eight Woodland Homesteads for groups up to 24 persons.

Open all year round
Efteling is open every day of the year. Current opening hours can be found at efteling.co.uk
