Flight-Free Summer Escapes to Enchanting Efteling

There is no better place to spend quality time with family than Efteling - the fairytale theme park in the south of Holland. Efteling is a great destination not only because it’s an incredible theme park filled with attractions, roller coasters and theatre shows suitable for all ages, but also because it’s easy to reach with rail and ferry options from the UK.

Avoiding the predicted summer of chaos that the airports and airlines are fearing Efteling will bring much needed stress-free joy and with late night openings through peak season it’s the ideal time to enjoy the park.

From 1 July until 30 August, the park will enjoy longer summer days and evenings, with extended opening hours, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of great rides into the night. Water rides Piraña, Vliegende Hollander and Gondoletta will help guest to cool down on hot days, whilst adrenaline lovers will enjoy high-adrenaline roller coasters like dive-coaster Baron 1898, which freefalls 37.5m into a mineshaft and reaches a top speed of more than 90 kilometres per hour. Visitors can also enjoy the spectacular park and theatre shows, such as Aquanura and CARO , while the Fairytale Forrest will allow everyone to meet their favourite story characters from much-loved children classics.

This summer, some attractions at Efteling will come to life bringing even more joy to everyone. Here are some  highlights to enjoy over summer :

Ton van de Ven Square:

In the oasis of tranquillity - Ton van de Ven Square – visitors can meet a real fairy, which sits and swings in her fairy throne in the middle of the square, making Droomvlucht lively and magical.

Max & Moritz Square:

Join the summer party at the Max & Moritz village, where music, dance and laughter will be heard and seen every day!  But watch out for pranks from rascals Max and Moritz rushing past in their little plane.

Fata Morgana Square:

At the Fata Morgana Square , the 5 metres tall giant Djinn is resting. Once he wakes up, prepare to face him!

The exciting Ruigrijk:

Get to meet your valiant heroes in the exciting Ruigrijk world of adventure, where spirit is shown and courage rewarded!

Efteling Wonderland:

Efteling carries on celebrating its 70th anniversary, by inviting visitors to play an active role in the mad birthday tea party, hosted by the Mad Hatter and March Hare.
