OK, this is the real thing! It’s the Python. You straighten your shoulders and take a deep breath. Your legs start to shake. But you have made up your mind: the Python here we come! You walk up the ramp towards the carriage. (You can still time change your mind if you like…) Whooooooaaah!!! Have you seen those loops the loops? No doubt you’ll keep your eyes firmly shut! Wanna bet?
The truth will be told when you see the photos!
The Python was opened in the Efteling in 1981. At the time of the opening this steel rollercoaster was the longest roller coaster in mainland Europe. The Python is 750 metres long and 29 metres tall. It has two loops and two cork screws. The Python takes you up to a speed of 85 km/h in 140 seconds with the biggest drop being a full 22 metres. The maximum G-forces you will experience are 3.5 positive (in your seat) and 0 negative (out of your seat).
