Fairytale Forest
In the Fairytale Forest you can walk from fairytale to fairytale in an enchanting setting. Hush… Listen… The mushrooms have music coming out of them! Allow yourself to be enraptured by the nostalgic atmosphere invented by Anton Pieck. Look… there’s Sleeping Beauty. And ah … Click, click… The Red Shoes are still dancing away. Do you know the story about Mother Holle? It always snows at her house, even in the summer. With the arrival of Cinderella there are now 26 fairytales in the Fairytale Forest. Do you know them all?

The Fairytale Forest was opened on 31 May 1952. The park initially consisted of the Fairytale Forest, a playground, water features and a couple of playing fields. The ten different fairy tales were built in the Fairytale Forest and with the arrival of Cinderella in 2009, the number of fairy tales has risen to 26. The Fairytale Theatre is situated in the centre of the Fairytale Forest where various ‘living’ fairytale figures tell the their stories. |
