Efteling Golf Park

  •  The course, designed by British golf course architect Donald Steel, opened in September of 1995.
  • Efteling Golf Park is set between the dunes of the Loonse en Drunense Duinen and the Huis Ter Heide country estate. The 18-hole golf course is 6256 metres in length and occupies 95 hectares. The course has been awarded the A status by the Dutch National Golf Federation (Nederlandse Golf Federatie – NGF).
  • The western part of the course is set in open landscape and can be referred to as an inland links-style course. The eastern part of the course is set in open fields and wooded terrain, making it a good example of a woodland course.
  • Nature plays a central role in Efteling Golf Park. Environmental organisations were consulted from the beginning of the course’s construction in 1995, such as the Dutch organisation for butterfly conservation, resulting in an ecological design and conservation plan.
Efteling Golf Park is one of eight golf parks in the Netherlands to have joined the pilot project “Committed to Green” set up by the Dutch National Golf Federation (NGF). The project aims to improve environmental conservation and sustainability on and around golf courses. In 2004, Efteling Golf Park was the second course in the Netherlands to receive the “Committed to Green” eco-label.
  • Efteling Golf Park receives an average of 60,000 visitors a year.
