• Milestone opening Fairytale Forest The Fairytale Forest was officially opened in 1952 by the Efteling Nature Park Foundation. Yet, the beginnings of what would later become the Efteling theme park, go back to 1933. Read more

• Milestone Indoor Attractions The Efteling has introduced a new attraction nearly every season since 1966, succeeding to continue to amaze and delight its constantly growing number of visitors. Read more

• Milestone Faster and more furious Throughout the end of the 1970s and into the early 1980s, the Efteling started looking to expand its attractions to appeal to new target groups. Many new thrilling attractions were added at this time, including the Python rollercoaster. Read more

• Milestone Back to the Fairy Beginning The Efteling opened its Fata Morgana attraction in 1986. The opening of the Forbidden City marked the park’s return to its fairytale beginnings. Read more

• Milestone Expansion beyond park boundaries With the opening of the Efteling Hotel in 1992, Efteling took its first step to expanding beyond the boundaries of the theme park. This expansion was followed by the construction of the Efteling Golf Park in 1994. Read more
